Schengen Area

The Schengen Area is the area covered by an international treaty abolishing border controls within the Eureopean Union and some other European countries.

A site visit is a visit in an official capacity of an assessment panel to a higher education programme and/or institution to verify and evaluate written evidence.

In higher education, a stakeholder is a person or organisation with a legitimate interest in the operation of a programme or institution. A stakeholder may be among many others a staff member, a student, a parent, a ministry or a professional organisation.

Student assessment

The total range of written, oral and practical tests, examinations, projects and portfolios that are used to evaluate a student's progress in the unit or module of the programme.
Typically, we refer to formative (progress-focused) and summative (end-performance) assessments.
