| In brief | UMIT – University für Health Sciences, Medical Informatics an Technology The University for Health Sciences, Medical Informatics and Technology, or UMIT, based in Hall in Tirol, was founded in 2001 and focuses on the exciting and rapidly developing fields of medical informatics and bio-informatics, health sciences, nursing science and related disciplines. As a European health & life sciences university, UMIT offers cutting-edge academic research and teaching in these areas and is able to meet the most demanding criteria. Currently, UMIT is offering 17 different Bachelor, Master and Ph.D. courses, ranging from business administration in health care organisations to biomedical informatics.
