Studying in Europe
Europe offers a wide variety of higher education institutions and programmes. From world class, top-level research institutions to professionally-oriented, teaching-focused colleges.
The following guidelines should help you to find your way to Europe.
- Find the right programme and institution
Make sure you get value for your money and efforts. Studying at an institution and/or a programme recognised by the relevant national authorities ensures that you get a recognised qualification. This is a diploma your home country will easily recognise too.
Qrossroads only presents recognised institutions and programmes.

- Grants and scholarships
There are scholarships provided by the European Union and by the different countries in Europe. If you know where you want to study, you should also contact that country's embassy and the international office of the institution of your choice.

- Entry requirements and admission procedures
Entry requirements can refer to the kind of degree, work experience and/or language proficiency you need to be able to enter a certain programme.
Only if you meet these entry requirements you can apply for admission. The admission procedure is normally outlined on the website of the institution. The website can be found under the institutional details.

- Visa and residence regulations
These regulations differ and depend on the country of origin and the country of study. Keep in mind that collecting the necessary documents and going through the procedures may take six months.

- Accommodation
In some cases the institution of your choice will be able to arrange accomodation for you. Make sure to check this when you contact the institution or look for this information on their website. The website can be found under the institutional details.

- Health care and travel insurance
If you already have health care insurance you should check if this insurance still covers you when abroad. A general travel insurance may also be a good idea. Some of the European and national scholarships include both kind of insurances.
