Studying in Hungary

The Republic of Hungary, or Hungary (Magyarország), is a landlocked country in Central Europe, bordered by Austria, Slovakia, Ukraine, Romania, Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia. Since May 2004 it has been part of the European Union. The capital of the country is Budapest. Hungary is a member of EU, NATO, OECD, V4 and is a Schengen state. The official language is Hungarian, which is part of the Finno-Ugric language family

The overwhelming majority of the population (over 97% of 10 million) is Hungarian (Magyar). In 2002, 39.9% of the population was between 0 and 29 years of age.
